A Tribute to Simon & Garfunkel - Philharmonie Leipzig & die Band Graceland: Folk meets classic

With songs such as "The Sound of Silence" and "Cecilia", Simon & Garfunkel created poetic anthems for an entire generation, while "Bridge Over Troubled Water", a composition of simple beauty, went down in music history as a message of hope.

The duo Graceland intensively traces the musical spirit of their role models and successfully tours the country with the program "A Tribute to Simon & Garfunkel". Thomas Wacker (Paul Simon) and Thorsten Gary (Art Garfunkel) quickly realized that the music of Simon & Garfunkel was perfect for combining the countless classics of the world's most famous folk rock duo with the unmistakable sound of a classical symphony orchestra, giving this music a completely new, unmistakable sound.

Concertgoers can expect an evening with artists who come incredibly close to their idols and give the songs their very own touch. Experience a show that guarantees goosebumps. An evening full of emotion, a tribute to the 60s and 70s and a musical variety like no other.

A project that inspires musicians and initiators alike. Forty musicians on stage will present the music of Simon & Garfunkel as it has never been performed in Germany before: a cross-over concert with the Leipzig Philharmonic Orchestra, which has already demonstrated its skills in Carnegie Hall in New York, Chicago, Moscow, Mumbai and Beijing.
