The Abseits Ramblers play American pop music from the time when the sounds learned to swing. Back then, records were made of shellac and jazz was played on the radio during prime time. Live bands could be heard in the ballrooms and people danced to them.

The Freising amateur band's wide-ranging repertoire includes familiar and unfamiliar pieces. Top hits from famous jazz orchestras, evergreens and jazz standards stand alongside the blues classics of the early jazz era. In a colorful mix, the journey goes from New Orleans, the cradle of jazz, via Chicago and Kansas City to Harlem, where a center of New York nightlife emerged in the 1920s and 30s.

The Abseits Ramblers came together in 2019 from the circle of friends of the legendary Freising pub and cabaret stage "abseits" to play unplugged music that is fun and gets you moving. Led by a fantastic singer, the Ramblers provide a very different kind of sound with five horns, a three-piece string section, tuba and drums and with sophisticated arrangements based on the original sound.
