Adepte de mon être is a dance piece by a deaf ensemble from Burkina Faso. With energetic, powerful dance, music and sign language, they tell their story of pain, insecurity, marginalization and exclusion. But through dance, shared rhythm, breath and heartbeat, we can be called upon to create a space of belonging and inclusion.

This piece inspires with its athletic contemporary dance, African percussion sounds and integration of sign language and challenges us all to ask ourselves how we can create inclusive communities for all that celebrate and welcome our differences and commonalities.
