Together against prejudice - with stories, encounters and a special recipe book

We encounter prejudice everywhere: at school, at work, in the neighborhood - even when it comes to food. Our "All around the table" project creates a space for real encounters and mutual understanding.

• Who is invited?
  Anyone who wants to break down prejudices together, e.g. blind and visually impaired people, schoolchildren, friends of Domäne Dahlem and representatives of religious and social initiatives.
• What can you expect?
  On this special afternoon, we will develop a symbolic "recipe book against prejudice" as part of various activities. Using words, pictures and stories, we will collect "ingredients" such as courage, patience and curiosity. We'll share ideas over tea and snacks and bring the day to a close together.
• Join in!
  Become a prejudice detective: Collect prejudices about food, cooking, taste and skills before the event. Bring them along and let's find creative and playful ways to counter prejudices together.

As a historical site of agriculture and food, the Domäne Dahlem offers the ideal setting for our regular intercultural and interreligious events. As part of our outreach work, we open up the museum to socially relevant topics and bring different people together - because museums are places of dialog and encounter for everyone.
