Hamburg. As part of her "Streetlights and Stars" European Tour 2026, Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Amanda Shires is coming to Germany for two exclusive concerts. Amanda Shires is one of the most fascinating voices in contemporary American music. Since playing violin with the legendary Texas Playboys at the age of 15, the West Texas native has uncompromisingly followed her artistic instincts. With her unique blend of Americana, folk, country and indie rock, her poetically nuanced lyrics and her unmistakable voice, she has built an extraordinary career.

She has collaborated with icons such as John Prine and Justin Townes Earle and was named Emerging Artist of the Year by the Americana Music Association in 2017. She is also the founder of the acclaimed supergroup "The Highwomen", together with Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris and Brandi Carlile.

Shires received unanimous critical acclaim for her solo album "Take It Like A Man". The song cycle, written and recorded during the lockdown, is regarded as a fearless, relentlessly honest inventory of her life as a woman in turbulent times.

Her eagerly awaited new album "Nobody's Girl" was released in fall 2025. Produced by Lawrence Rothman in Nashville and Los Angeles, it brings together top-class musicians such as Jay Bellerose, Pino Palladino and Fred Eltringham. Sonically multi-layered yet intimate, "Nobody's Girl" is above all an emotional statement.

"This album is not a break-up album. It's a survival album," says Shires. Instead of getting lost in the pain, she dissects every moment of loss on songs like "A Way It Goes", "Maybe I", "Piece of Mind" or "The Details" - and builds new strength from the wreckage. "I'm nobody's girl. I belong to myself," she sums up the essence of the album.
