🍿 About the film: Towards the end of the Second World War, twelve-year-old Nanning is constantly busy helping his family on the island of Amrum. After the bombing of Hamburg, he and his family had to flee to the North Sea island while his father, a high-ranking Nazi, was taken prisoner of war. Adolf Hitler's suicide plunged Nanning's mother Hille, a staunch National Socialist, into a deep depression. Nanning is now more than ever on his own and at the same time has to take responsibility for looking after his reclusive mother. But after the end of the war, there are shortages almost everywhere and he has to try to barter with the other inhabitants of Amrum. However, they are aware of the convictions of Nanning's parents, which has now involuntarily left its mark on him...
