Anne Truitt. Pionierin der Minimal Art

The Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen is delighted to present the first comprehensive exhibition of the American artist and writer Anne Truitt (1921-2004) in Europe. There are more than 100 impressive works from over four decades to discover, showing the work of one of the most influential artists of Minimal Art. The art movement known through Donald Judd, Blinky Palermo and Carmen Herrera is characterized by the use of simple forms, vibrant colors and the pursuit of clarity and essence. In the exhibition, Truitt's works invite visitors to explore the emotional aspects of color, form and space.
The exhibition is organized by the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen in Düsseldorf, the Musée de Grenoble and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid and is supported by the Terra Foundation for American Art and the Ernst von Siemens Kunststiftung.
