ANTONÍ - Holding Tight Lightly

Organic is the first thing that came to mind when we heard ANTONÍ's debut album.

Everything about these warm, harmonious, sometimes mystical melodies is connected in and through an organic texture: their music, which is literally rooted in the nature of Thuringian forests. Her sensually beautiful singing with its warm, fragile timbre. The delicate connection between clear acoustic folk elements and lively, atmospheric electronics. Her clever, grounded lyrics, which deal with urban-rural rifts, generational conflicts, connectedness and change and the wisdom of nature.

Holding Tight Lightly was created after ANTONÍ spent a formative year in Utrecht, in a community of Turkish artists, at Sen Bakkal Studio in Istanbul together with producer Can Güngör and Norwegian co-arranger Einar Stray. Rich in contrast and organic, the individual elements blend so naturally and lightly into a whole that it is difficult to single out individual songs. Like trees in a forest... Grasses in a meadow.... Drops in a lake....
