Au/Ra plays an exclusive show at Kantine am Berghain in September

Behind the name Au/Ra is the German singer and musician Jamie Lou Stenzel, who was born in Ibiza and spent her childhood and youth on the island of Antigua. Au/Ra's music is just as dazzling as her biography and her artist name. Her voice is big and pure pop, her aesthetics and lyrics dark, while the music ranges from wavy, spherical electropop to euphoric dance music that could even pass for EDM at times. Those who like to diss this style of music will realize from "Darkside" by DJ Alan Walker, on which Au/Ra sings the lead vocals, that this genre can also be given depth. This smash hit, which has over 660 million clicks on Spotify alone, is just one of many highlights in her discography, which she often fills with creative sparring partners. Most recently, for example, came the rather melancholy single "Moonbeans" with Alissic, which sounds as if the two have reconciled hyperpop with folk and electro. In March last year, they released the fascinating song "Sehnsucht" with Purple Schulz and YORK, but some of their strongest tracks were created alone: the dark "Panic Room", which later reached the UK Top 40 in a remix by CamelPhat.

In September, you finally have the chance to see Au/Ra live in Germany again. She will be playing at the Kantine am Berghain.
