In the organizer's words:

Bright colors on a golden background next to deep black bridal attire: Traditional Danube Swabian costumes provide surprising insights into the lives of women and girls in the past. This world was narrow because it was determined by village and church rules, but also wide because it offered the diversity of a multicultural society.

With speeches by Marion Ackermann (President of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation), Iris Mann (Mayor of Ulm), Elisabeth Tietmeyer (Director of the Museum of European Cultures) and Henrike Hampe (Curator of the Danube Swabian Central Museum Ulm).
