François Sarhan: Analogies (In German and English)
"Subdue the earth, rule over the fish and the birds and over every living thing that creeps on the ground" - how well we have fulfilled this demand (Genesis 1:2)! Analogies draws inspiration from the very different thinking of indigenous societies, a thinking in analogical relationships that is beyond logical proof, but also beyond the ideologies of ownership, domination and dominance over nature. Logic is replaced by an intuitive, association-led approach to the world, as is still evident to us in dreams, among other things. Phenomena that seem barely related to each other present themselves as interwoven and linked in the great puzzle of the one universal context.

"Subdue the earth, rule over the sh, the birds, and all the creatures that crawl on the earth" - how well we have ful lled this demand of the Christian creator (Genesis 1:2)! Analogies draws inspiration from the very different way of thinking of indigenous peoples, a way of thinking in analogical relationships that goes beyond logical proof, but also beyond the ideologies of ownership, rule, and dominance over nature. Logic is replaced by an intuitive, association-led approach to the world, as we still have in dreams. Phenomena that seem to have little in common present themselves as interwoven and linked in the great puzzle of a universal context.
