Every two years, a short festival at the Philharmonie Berlin brings the diversity and beauty of baroque music to life. From 28.11. to 30.11., the program features early music legends William Christie and Jordi Savall as well as the young stars of the scene: Maxim Emelyanychev and his ensemble Il pomo d'oro, lutenist Michele Pasotti with La Fonte Musica and the celebrated countertenor Philippe Jaroussky with the ensemble Artaserse. There is much to discover and enjoy here: Music from Spain, the diverse manifestations of the concerto grosso, and vocal music that includes both dramatic scenes and arias that melt your heart.
