Grimm's fairytale world turned inside out
"Once upon a time in a faraway land..." - This is how every fairy tale begins. Rapunzel lets her hair down, the prince kisses the princess awake and in the end, good triumphs over evil. But how would the story end if the perfect selfie was more important to Rapunzel than the perfect man, the competing princes finally chose each other instead of the princess and the villains decided to stop playing the role of scapegoat?
Fairy tales 2.0
With the song cycle Alles Märchen!, Ralf Rühmeier and Michael Bellmann bring the Grimm universe into the present and turn the well-known stories on their head. In parodistic short episodes, the five performers give voice to around 30 fairytale characters in our modern world. Following the concert premiere in 2016, the Musical Masterclass of the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding is now bringing the musical comedy to the stage of the Silbersaal for the first time.
Musical stars of tomorrow
For over ten years, the Master's Musical course at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding has been presenting unique productions at the Deutsches Theater. In the Masterclass series in the Silbersaal, not only do the graduates showcase their skills, but innovative concepts and creative ways of thinking are also tested for the productions in the historic rooms. The musical genre has already been rediscovered in this way with plays such as Into the Woods, Heirat' mich ein bisschen, John & Jen, Palast des Lächelns, Der kleine Horrorladen, Baby, Elise & Paul and The Toxic Avenger.
