Ungehaltene Reden ungehaltener Frauen

The Theater in der Au is performing "Ungehaltene Reden ungehaltener Frauen" by Christine Brückner and other authors under the direction of Inge Kuhn and Nicole Wagner at Einstein Kultur.

Very different women have their say in these monologues. Some are taken from literature, others have actually lived. What they have in common is that they have a lot to say, but were not heard in their own time or situation. And in all of them, everyday life is just as much a topic as the political context from which they think and feel - a lived critique of ideology, touching and stirring at the same time.

You can hear: Cassandra, the seeress from Troy; Mary, the mother of Jesus; Elizabeth I of England; Katharina von Bora, the wife of Martin Luther; Marguerite Gautier, the "Lady of the Camellias" from the novel by Alexandre Dumas; "Effie Briest" from Theodor Fontane's novel of the same name and Franziska Gräfin zu Reventlow, the so-called "Schwabinger Gräfin".
