The Kettenkarussell keeps on spinning - and once again brings two exciting local heroes from the region to the Lab stage with the third edition of the year.

Stuttgart singer-songwriter Marie-Louise will be celebrating her Kettenkarussell debut this evening. Her current, fourth album ON STANDBY once again demonstrates her artistic versatility: she interprets poems with a ukulele, tells stories in English, Spanish and German about a "superhero wedding", shepherd life and the power of imagination. Her expressive, multi-faceted voice combines poetic storytelling with a finely dosed genre mix of folk, acoustic pop and soul.

Benjakob takes on the main slot, this time with an expanded line-up. With double bass and drums at his side, his songs gain rhythmic breadth and sonic warmth. What began as "Acoustic Soul straight from the heart" now unfolds with even more dynamism and expressiveness. Bilingual - in German and English - Benjakob tells of connection, humanity and the desire for genuine togetherness. His music remains honest and approachable, but gains groove and urgency with the band. An evening between poetic intimacy and grooving band energy - personal, multi-layered and full of sound colors.
