Book premiere with Burkhart Veigel at Berlin Freedom Week
Why do people leave their homes, families and friends to start all over again somewhere else? And what motivates people to help others to flee? Burkhart Veigel addresses these and other questions in his newly published book "Mut und Freiheit: 'Meine' Flüchtlinge und meine Fluchthelferfreunde" (BoD - Books on Demand Verlag).
At this event, the author Burkhart Veigel will read from his book and talk to contemporary witnesses and escape helpers Hasso Herschel and Ulli Pfeifer as well as refugees Irmgard and Uwe Müller.
