Berlin Science Week - Ausstellung: Beyond Us

EXHIBITION: BEYOND US

To mark its 10th anniversary, Berlin Science Week is presenting Beyond Us, its first dedicated exhibition. It shows the works of Marco Barotti, the Falling Walls Science Breakthrough of the Year 2025 in the Art & Science category.

The exhibition brings together a selection of Barotti's works that explore the precarious situation of coral reefs and the urgent need for a harmonious relationship with the underwater world, including his award-winning Coral Sonic Resilience project.

Barotti's work is based on artistic practices inspired by scientific research as a method of ecological regeneration. At the intersection of art and science, he explores how the broken can be reconfigured and how scars create new forms of expression and survival.

In this way, Beyond Us exposes what usually remains invisible: the connections and tensions within our entanglements with nature, technology and society.
