Berni Wagner again. Doing slapstick with language again. Verbal jiu-jitsu. Fine blade and so on, anyway - but it's all just self-defense, of course.

Ever since he was told that a monster slumbers within him, Austria's most popular shaggy-haired man has clung to his humor tooth and nail. This is the only way he can tame his fear long enough to set off in search of the monster: It has to be in there somewhere. - Or is it?

Berni Wagner (born 1991) is originally from Upper Austria. He moved to Vienna in 2010 and won the Grazer Kleinkunstvogel (jury and audience award) in 2013 with excerpts from his first program "Schwammerl" and has been performing on cabaret stages in Austria and Germany ever since. From 2015 to 2017, he was a member of the "Lange Nacht des Kabaretts" ensemble. In the meantime, he can also be seen on television again and again, in addition to recorded stage appearances on "Pratersterne", "Im Vereinsheim", the "ORF Sommerkabarett" or the "Kabarettgipfel", as well as in the guessing team of the ORF program "Was gibt es Neues?" or as an external correspondent in "Tagespresse aktuell". He has also written for comedy and cabaret formats on Radio FM4 ("Das magische Auge"), Radio Ö3 and Ö1 Campus.
In 2022 Berni received the program prize of the Austrian Cabaret Prize for "Galápagos", in 2024 the program prize for "GHÖST".

In February 2025, he will premiere his fifth solo program "Monster" at the Wiener Stadtsaal and will go on his biggest tour to date.
