Best of Poetry Slam

When the sun disappears behind the treetops, the grass rustles under your flip-flops and the ice cubes clink in the cup and it's really summer in Winterhude, then it's time for Best of Poetry Slam, Open Air in the Stadtpark. A fiercely wild poetry slam gala in the open air with the very best poetry slammers in the country. We'll have a heat wave of words blown around our heads until our cheeks glow.
Our walls should be rows of trees, our ceiling should be the sky and our slam poetry should be the best slam poetry: Exclusively excellent super talents with lyrics that fire like Solero shots, framed by an extremely gallant host and a funky DJ who hits the play button like a young god.

Abdul Kader Chahin

He is one of the most exciting artists of our time, skillfully alternating between satire, hilarious humor and political stand-up comedy. Whether on "Die Anstalt" or in rowdy basement clubs - he sweeps across the stage with energy and verve, always giving 110 percent and fascinating audiences with his refractive punchlines and ambiguity, regardless of the consequences.

Leah Weigand

The fantastic Leah Weigand has been the talk of the town ever since her viral breakthrough with the text "Ungepflegt". With her texts, the poet digs deep into society and creates word formations and lyrical gems that take your breath away. The sensitive handling of important topics and her almost perfect play with language and poetry combine to create a conglomerate of an almost perfect performance.

If you haven't seen Alex Stoldt live, you've never had a good laugh in your life. The stand-up comedian from Hamburg is the absolute shooting star of the German-speaking comedy scene, successfully touring Germany, Austria and Switzerland with his second program and delighting audiences with his mixture of absurdity, intelligence, subtlety and simply extremely well-crafted jokes. Alex Stoldt is already one of the best - and it won't be long before he is the undisputed leader.

He is the grande monsieur of the German-language poetry slam scene. Covered in prizes and titles, he is causing a sensation on every stage in the country. On this evening he will be presenting - but he is not just a presenter. He is the host and emcee: with his charming manner, likeable warmth and probably the most mischievous smile, he will guide you through this fantastically curated evening and provide the necessary class that a Best of Poetry Slam deserves.
