Chanson hits with bite - debut album by Betti Kruse
From easy-listening orchestra to Motown guitar: an album that combines humor, heart and attitude.
Betti Kruse stands for New German Beat Music - and for entertainment with attitude. Her songs are charming, catchy and danceable, but always with a bite. Inspired by the smooth orchestral sound of James Last, the ingenious melodies of Bert Kaempfert, the rapturously sassy lyrics of Hildegard Knef and the laid-back guitars of the Motown era, together with producer Taco van Hettinga she writes music that ByteFM describes as "cool chanson hits" - "which unfortunately nobody made in the 60s and 70s".
On their debut album "Wird schon gutgehn", everyday observations meet big questions, lightness meets depth. The eleven songs combine the already acclaimed EP Für alles gibt's ne Lösung with brand new tracks - a mixture of tongue-in-cheek social criticism, very personal stories and unabashed joie de vivre.
