A voice that stays with you. You hear it once - and you never forget it. Marla Moya sings with raw warmth and clear emotionality. Her songs are honest, unpretentious and carry a quiet intensity - timeless and contemporary at the same time. Her music is reminiscent of greats such as Fleetwood Mac or Harry Nilsson, but also of today's indie greats such as Angel Olsen or Weyes Blood. In 2025, she released her debut album Sanguine Soul via Backseat, produced by Robert Francis in Los Angeles. The songs tell of upheaval, self-discovery, fear and hope - of a young woman who is reinventing herself. An album full of movement: between light and shadow, between wanderlust and homecoming, between the desire to be seen and the strength to be enough for oneself. Marla Moya's songs are intimate and expansive at the same time - they open up spaces without ever losing their grip on the ground. In the end, you never know for sure: is that a laugh or a cry? Probably both. And that's exactly why it stays. The tour stop at the Kulturinsel Berlin with her band is part of the big release tour for the album.
