Big Band Night - Paris & Berlin

Since 2007, the Big Band of the Béla Bartók Music School "Bela's Bigband" under the direction of Achim Rothe and the Big Band de Paris under the direction of Thierry de Micheaux have been linked by a musical exchange. Every year, the ensembles meet alternately in Berlin and Paris for a joint rehearsal phase with a final concert, which this year will fortunately take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 19:00 in the KulturMarktHalle.

The program includes classic big band compositions by Count Basie, among others, as well as original pieces and arrangements and modern titles. The audience can expect a varied evening with over 30 musicians from Berlin and Paris.
