Little people, big pictures: The popular series of events "Picture Book Cinema" takes place once a month and free of charge in the children's area of the Siegburg City Library and is suitable for all children interested in picture books. Places are limited. Registration is possible at the earliest one week before the event via the button that is then activated.

Please register both your child and yourself and have the tickets ready at the entrance (digital or analog)!

In order to enable as many children as possible to visit our picture book cinema, we ask that your children are ideally accompanied by only one person in the children's library. You are welcome to visit our café or browse through our shelves yourself 😉.

And that's what it's all about:

Little gorilla Rille discovers an egg in the middle of the jungle! Curious, he takes the mysterious thing home with him. He places it on a nest of soft moss and warm leaves. Now he just needs a little patience. I wonder who will hatch out?

However, the wait turns out to be a long one and Rille soon loses his patience. How good that his jungle friends come along and show him how he can pass the time. Because even if you can't turn time forward: with a little imagination and fun games, it does pass a little faster and suddenly the first cracks appear in the shell.

This colorful story shows once again how much fun waiting can be!

Afterwards, you can play, paint and browse in the library until 5pm. There are many more stories to discover on our shelves - with a library card you can even take them home.
