Author, cartoonist and cabaret artist Thomas Bäder is all about being human - about what could be if it weren't for what was and is. The artist caricatures everyday life with all its ambivalences. He teaches his audience the difference between human and pig, gives parents tips on how to remain unforgotten for their children, talks about his favorite sins and quarrels with his mortician, who won't grant him an early booking discount. Bäder knows: the fat years are over - now come the healthy ones.
The cabaret program is full of wordplay, ambiguous, profound - and at the same time cheerful, surprising and full of bizarre twists and turns.
The artist enhances his stage performances with his cartoons. His characters are never cute or pretty, but instead biting, sarcastic and sometimes silly or absurd. His figures, reduced to lines, have the advantage that the audience can project a lot into them - preferably themselves. Bäder's aphorisms, short and pithy sayings on all aspects of life, are also a must in the program.
