Hula dances from Hawaii are pure joie de vivre. Immerse yourself in the tradition of this narrative dance, in music and movement. You will be introduced to the dance technique with basic steps, hip movements and hand gestures, facial expressions and expressions of Hawaiian Hula and Ori Tahiti.
The focus is on two film songs from the Disney classic "Vaiana". The ballad "How Far I'll Go" is about new beginnings, hope and trust. The choreography of a "Hula Mua" ("first dance") is a contemporary hula fusion that combines hula basics with elements of Maori dance (haka) and contemporary. In the song "Logo Te Pate" ("Listen to the call of the log drum"), a cheerful dance song, elements of Hawaiian hula flow together with Ori Tahiti (Tahitian dance) and oriental hip movements to create a narrative dance (Aparima).
Suitable for dance beginners and dancers who want to look beyond their cultural horizons.
