Blaumeiers Jubiläumsgala: In Bremen sind wir weltberühmt!

In the organizer's words:

The big stage, the curtain is still closed, a spotlight, an actress enters the stage. The microphone creaks briefly, she begins to speak in a firm voice while more and more people around her step into the stage light:

"Blaumeier is 40 and we are far from finished! We are proof that inclusion is not just meant to be nice, but can also be done brilliantly. Because every time diversity is not only tolerated, but celebrated, we become a little bigger. Thank you for your applause!"

Born out of a deep bow to the unbroken will to live of people who were locked away in long-term psychiatric clinics until the 1980s, Blaumeier is now a call for respectful coexistence under the banner of inclusion and diversity. Art has always been at the heart of all encounters. Whether it's theater, mask-making and painting, photography, literature or music - art is only complete when everyone is allowed to participate.
