The loudspeakers of BODIES AND SUBWOOFERS (B.A.S.) lie in the lawn garden like large black sculptures. The Brazilian sound artist Stefanie Egedy chose this special place in the Herrenhausen Gardens to make her haunting sound installation tangible. Between the strictly drawn lines of this garden, where otherwise baroque order and clear structure intertwine, Egedy unfolds a vibrating map of hearing. The low-frequency vibrations of B.A.S.creep through the ground and feel their way towards the visitors, as if they wanted to translate the geometry of the garden into physical sensations.

Resonances, reverberations and frequencies that are felt rather than heard flow into Egedy's composition. The subwoofers are arranged like modern sculptures - a deliberate contrast to the baroque sculptures and at the same time a direct, physical experience in which pressure, breath and vibration can be felt immediately.

This dialog between garden architecture and frequency creates lively zones and quiet islands. Those who walk through the garden wander through changing pressure fields, experiencing impressive sound massages that embrace the skin and body. Invisible touches that are both gentle and radical - for some even healing. Every hour for ten minutes, B.A.S.invites you to experience the lawn garden directly as a pulsating space of sound and vibration.

The event uses deep sounds that can be felt in the body.

The installation generates sound waves that can be perceived by your body, change the air pressure and spread differently in the room. The artist and KunstFestSpiele are not liable for any effects on your body once you are inside the installation.
