Directly from London's West End , one of the world's most successful tribute productions is coming to Munich in 2026: Bowie Experience - a spectacular live concert that impressively captures and reinterprets the sound, aesthetics and artistic vision of David Bowie. The show will make a guest appearance at Circus Krone on May 22, 2026 and invites fans of all generations to experience the musical eras of this exceptional artist up close once again.

The production presents Bowie's greatest hits - from Space Oddity and Heroes to Let's Dance - and traces the stylistic changes of one of the most influential pop artists in music history. The attention to detail is particularly striking: elaborately designed costumes, visually coordinated projections and a dramaturgically constructed set design bring Bowie's iconic decades back to life.

Oliver Slee embodies Bowie - homage instead of copy

Actor Oliver Slee, who has played the leading role for years, is one of the central creative forces behind the production. He appeared on stage in major British theater productions as a child and developed into a versatile performer through his acting training and various film and TV projects.

He describes his approach to Bowie as an ongoing process: "I'm not trying to be a direct copy of Bowie - nobody could hold a candle to him talent-wise. It's about working out the facets that touch me personally and interpreting them with the greatest precision. Bowie was so complex that every artistic approach inevitably reveals its own perspective." - Oliver Slee

To this day, Slee regularly studies concert recordings, interviews and Bowie's voice changes, as his musical and visual development was extraordinarily diverse: from the eccentric Ziggy Stardust years to the experimental Berlin phase and the pop-cultural global hit Let's Dance. The rapid changes on stage are also a challenge: Slee jumps to completely different eras within a few minutes - including changing costumes, gestures and singing styles.

A show full of iconic moments

A particular highlight are the visually detailed outfits, including both well-known classics and surprising stage looks that only die-hard fans would expect. The performance is complemented by specially created visuals and lighting designs that atmospherically frame each song phase.

Slee's personal favorites include classics such as Moonage Daydream, Rock 'n' Roll Suicide and Heroes.
