Two women fight for their future

In the mid-seventies, Johanna is the first in her family to go to university. She moves into a shared flat in Freiburg with her friend Luzie and enjoys new freedoms. However, when her father dies shortly afterwards, she has to return home and take over her parents' wine-growing business. Together with her mother and grandmother, she runs the farm on the Kaiserstuhl. In a world where female workers only count for half as much, women have to assert themselves. Even more so when Johanna has a child and decides to bring it up without a father. Even more so when she joins the resistance of the winegrowers and farmers, the citizens of Freiburg and the region against a nuclear power plant planned nearby. Luzie, who has just returned from a long trip to Morocco, is also at her side. And suddenly it looks as if they can achieve something together.
