During a short vacation, the German tourist couple Renate and Jürgen actually just wanted to see Vienna. But then the earth suddenly opens up in front of St. Stephen's Cathedral and Jürgen disappears without a trace. What happened there? Did Jürgen survive the fall into the crevice? And why doesn't anyone seem to care? Renate soon realizes that the Viennese police are not much help. So she sets off on her own in search of her missing husband. Together with the help of Reinhold, a semi-serious ghost hunter, she dives into the Viennese underworld. In the process, the two discover a centuries-old conspiracy that completely confuses time and space!
