In "Lázár ", Nelio Biedermann tells the story of a Hungarian aristocratic family in the 20th century, creating a literary panorama that connects generations, times and political upheavals. It all begins with Lajos von Lázár, the blond child with the watery blue eyes, who is born in the forest castle at the turn of the century - and with him a new era.

The family experiences the collapse of the Habsburg Empire, the rebellion of a new world and the shadows of totalitarian systems. However, "Lázár" is not just a novel about historical upheaval, but also a story about love, longing and the desire to remain true to oneself. Captivating and atmospherically dense, Biedermann tells of the splendor of times gone by, of loss, new beginnings and the eternal question of how to live.

Biedermann, born in 2003, grew up on Lake Zurich. His family comes from Hungarian nobility on his father's side, and his grandparents fled to Switzerland in the 1950s. The author is studying German and film studies in Zurich. "Lázár" is published in over twenty countries.
