Dr. Jan Mende, curator of the Knoblauchhaus at the Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin and Schinkel expert, published the latest research findings in 2025 in the book: Karl Friedrich Schinkel - Great artist, "lonely soul"? Based on the statements of his contemporaries, he creates a vivid picture of the most important German architect of the 19th century. In addition, for the first time, detailed insights into Schinkel's living and working practices at the Bauakademie are revealed, providing completely new insights into the life of the great architect.
