Burning City - Schöne Aussicht

In the organizer's words:

Thirteen performers conquer a long catwalk where bodies, voices and beats meet. Music - from hip-hop and funk to soul and rock - sets the rhythm of the evening, while spoken word, rap and dance tell stories of struggle, joy and survival.

Burning City is a concert, a living manifesto. Sometimes tender and vulnerable, then again deafening with the urgency of activism. Created by Junior Mthombeni and the SOCHA collective, the piece confronts systems of exclusion and transforms the stage into a space of protest, celebration and community.<

Burning City makes it possible to experience the urgent questions of who belongs, who owns the space and which voices are heard and which are not, in a multidisciplinary way. The confrontation turns into a feeling of empowerment that remains palpable long after leaving the space.
