In the organizer's words:

"Celebrating Arab Feminisms: Resistance and Resilience" highlights feminist voices from Syria, Egypt and Palestine. Syrian authors and refugee women will read their own texts, followed by a discussion about experiences of flight and new beginnings. A panel discussion will pay tribute to Nawal El Saadawi and her legacy for women's rights. Finally, two short films will show the historical and current resistance of Palestinian women.

The event will be held in German, Arabic and English.
