Poetry slam, the ill-bred stepchild of so-called high literature, comes to the Champions Slam in a suit and glittering evening gown. Because a champagne reception is the new bottled beer!

Four of the country's best spoken word artists present stage literature that at best invites you to laugh, cry, think and marvel at the same time.

The special feature: only poets who have already won a championship title are invited to the Champions Slam in the Philharmonie. Or came damn close.

ORTWIN BADER-ISKRAUT (Presenter)

Ortwin Bader-Iskraut has set up some of the most important Kiezpoeten series since 2015 and shaped the Berlin scene as an organizer.

As a presenter, he hosts the big Best Of shows in the Columbiahalle, the Philharmonie Berlin or the Freiluftkino Friedrichshain. Away from the poetry slam stage, Ortwin Bader Iskraut works as a reporter and concert critic for radioeins.
