Christopher Cross' career began with a bang: his self-titled debut album from 1980 sold over ten million copies worldwide and earned him a unique place in music history. He was the first artist ever to win the four most important awards at the Grammy Awards in one year: Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year for the global hit "Sailing" and Best New Artist. This was followed by further top 10 hits such as "Ride Like the Wind", "Never Be the Same", "Think of Laura" and "All Right". Together with Burt Bacharach, he wrote the Oscar and Golden Globe-winning song "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)"
