Collignon - between psychedelic sounds, global grooves and driving electronic club energy.

Raw, excessive and with infectious live energy, Collignon returns to Germany on her Tempo Tempo Tempo! tour in Germany in September. The band combines traditional influences from Portuguese-speaking regions such as Cape Verde, Brazil, Mozambique, Angola and Guinea-Bissau with contemporary production, herbaceous motorik rhythms, hypnotic synth pads and raw live improvisation. The result is a dense, instrumental sound that is both archaic and futuristic at the same time, creating a maelstrom that is almost impossible to escape.

Collignon are Gino Bombrini (drums & percussion), Yves Lennertz (guitar) and Jori Collignon (synthesizer). The foundation of the band lies in Jori's studio in Portugal, where he works intensively with artists from Portuguese-speaking countries such as Cape Verde, Brazil, Mozambique, Angola and Guinea-Bissau. A former member of bands such as SKIP&DIE, Nobody Beats the Drum and C-mon & Kypski, Jori has built a reputation as a producer and musician for transcending genres and pushing musical boundaries.

These influences come together on her debut album "Bicicleta" (2025). Conceived with vinyl in mind, the album tells a cohesive story from A to B - like an adventurous bike ride through different soundscapes: from repetitive, trance-like passages to rhythmically complex, globally influenced grooves - emphasizing the band's narrative, fluid approach. "Bicicleta" was not only "Album of the Day" on Bandcamp, but also became the favorite album for bicycle enthusiasts and activists throughout Europe: Cycledelica. Fight for your ride.

With their Tempo Tempo Tempo! tour and a new release in August, the three old punks are back on the road in September and will be parking their bikes in front of the Gretchen to create ecstatic conditions inside.
