Commuter // Support: Inframince

In the organizer's words:

Commuter is a post-punk quartet based in Athens, Greece.
Known for their energetic live shows and the recent release
of their debut full-length, Guilt Eraser, they deliver a raw,
noise-infused take on post-punk. Drawing influences from
both sides of the Atlantic, their sound channels the angst of
everyday life in a society slowly falling apart.
With a no-frills approach and intense live energy, they've
made their mark-most notably sharing the stage with the
likes of Dry Cleaning, Protomartyr, A Place to Bury Strangers
and DITZ.

With "Inframince", the French artist Marcel Duchamp described the inconceivable,
undecidable; the wafer-thin, magical space in between when two shadows touch
shadows, the sphere between the front and back of a sheet of paper or the lingering warmth of an armchair
the lingering warmth of an armchair after getting up. The Munich alternative newcomer band Inframince has settled in precisely this in-between space: A barely distorted electric guitar glides like light on the water of dense drums and a melodically singing bass that keeps thinking and feeling like a second guitar - just gauzy undecided. Midwest emo chords meet prog-rock bass lines and post-rock grooves; a hint of indie wafts over it all, resulting in charged infra-rock.
