May Day in Berlin - and we're right in the middle of it! 🎸 Start your holiday tour with us at Marion-Seelig-Platz. Right next to Volkspark Friedrichshain, we'll serve you a good dose of indie rock to wake you up.

This place, still known to many as "Bötzoweiche", has a long tradition: the legendary May Day celebrations with a mix of music and politics have been taking place here since 1989. Since March 2026, the square has officially borne the name of politician Marion Seelig - a perfect setting to continue this history with a fresh sound.

Pack your bags, grab a cold drink and enjoy the first show of the day under the open sky in the heart of the Bötzow district. We look forward to seeing you!

Important facts about the Bötzoweiche:

• The place is best known for the traditional May Day celebrations of the Link
• Location: Corner of Bötzowstraße/Esmarchstraße, close to Volkspark Friedrichshain.
• Name change: Since March 8, 2026, the small square has officially been called Marion-Seelig-Platz in memory of the late politician and journalist Marion Seelig.
• Venue: Since 1989, May Day celebrations with music, politics and a children's program have been held there every year on 1 May.
• History: There used to be a round bench and a yellow telephone box. The name is derived from the Bötzowviertel, which is named after the large landowning Bötzow family.
