Summer after summer, Camil and Roxana meet in the small village of Buşteni in the Romanian mountains. A railroad barrier separates them here - but in reality, a whole life separates them. For these weeks in summer, the differences become blurred. Together they observe the couples in the village and find out when love is love. There is the clever lawyer from Bucharest who cares for her sick husband until one day a tree grows out of her house. And the beautiful lady, who resembles a character from a telenovela, with her completely unremarkable husband. The couple with the same lamentations. Couples who could hardly be more different and yet seem to be happy together. And in the middle of it all, Roxana and Camil and their story, which could become a love story. An author travels through Germany with this very story and tells a new audience about the young lovers every evening. But who is telling whose story here? Light as a feather and profound, Dana Grigorcea creates a kaleidoscope about love and the circumstances that make it so. The author is accompanied musically by Nadiia Zhurba on the piano. The Ukrainian pianist studies at the University of Music in Mainz with Sebastian Sternal.
