Spotting a butterfly is often a brief, fleeting moment of happiness. The well-camouflaged caterpillars are often even more difficult to observe. On a night walk with Kristin and Michelle, nature enthusiasts use UV lamps to search for butterfly caterpillars in their natural habitat. Under UV light, some insects and plants reveal themselves in colors that are otherwise hidden from us. Welcome to the wondrous parallel world of fluorescence!
