Das Nomadische Gen | Ein Film von Kai-Uwe Kohlschmidt

In the organizer's words:

"This is a movie documentary!
They are really great movie pictures!" - Knut Elstermann

The documentary tells of the nomadic potential of mankind. A thirst for discovery and curiosity, but also flight and spiritual search have shaped this nomadic core.

The film accompanies the artists of Mangan25 on expeditions to six continents. In extreme landscapes such as the jungles of Papua New Guinea and Venezuela, in the eternal ice of the Arctic and the Himalayas and in various deserts around the world, they encounter extraordinary tribes and stories.

One film chapter is dedicated to the dramatic expedition on Nanga Parbat, where Günther Jung from Thuringia lost his life. It features images by the famous mountain filmmaker Gerhard Baur.
