DEAF CLUB is a brutal sonic bath of sarcasm: a blastbeat-heavy hardcore punk assault that combines crust, thrash and grind elements. Pithy breaks, surreal frequencies and effects, breakneck speed and sharply hurled vocals characterize the band's aesthetic, which seems to be rooted in a kind of ethos of vicious sounds and intellectual messages. Driven by the onslaught of society's madness and driven insane by tinnitus, Justin Pearson (The Locust, Dead Cross, Planet B), Brian Amalfitano (ACxDC), Scott Osment (Glassing, Planet B) and Jason Klein (Run With The Hunted, JR Slayer) view music as an opportunity to confront our collective maladies.

After the debut EP "Contemporary Sickness", their first album "Productive Disruption" was released in 2022. After two years of stewing in the cesspool of the pandemic, the album was a death threat for some and a declaration of love for others.

With their new album "We Demand a Permanent State of Happiness"(Southern Lord/ThreeOne G), DEAF CLUB continue their sharp criticism of society. Fast wit and even faster blast beats are the main characteristics of the band from California (USA), but there is also a sense of growth. This is their strongest songwriting to date, featuring more hooks and good old-fashioned moments to mosh to, while remaining as strange as ever. Confident, angry and focused. The band has shared the stage with Converge, Melt-Banana, John Waters, Negative Approach, Napalm Death, Unbroken and Saetia, among others.
