deine mudda schafft is an ongoing art project by schnapsundidee. Artists express themselves in a discourse space on parenthood, unpaid care work, feminist-historical movements and myths, as well as experiences of discrimination and violence in the context of parenthood in society and invite people to exchange ideas.
In a multidisciplinary art exhibition, we will open up a space with films, performances, readings, installations, music and of course our bar, where you can feel comfortable and network, but also simply enjoy an evening of theater and a drink.
During the three-hour show in the rooms of tvw, we will present an installation that deals with the narrative of the witch and childlessness, go through the audience with a poetry slam text about the supposed incompatibility of being a mother and a woman, talk about poverty, birth experiences and the violence experienced in the process, the invisibility of care work, show anti-patriarchal family constructs in performances, try out the connections between mental strength, patriarchal violence and social pressure, provide information about working and living in an autonomous women's shelter and give the opportunity to donate to it.
deine mudda schafft wants to be a place where people can meet and exchange ideas on the topics of care work and parenthood. It wants to be a place where artistic expressions remain rooted in the concrete fields of action of everyday life and take a raw and incomplete look at the struggles of anti-capitalist action.
