At midnight on the dot, DER TOD invites all souls for 60 minutes to the only too-late-night show in this world, where everything revolves around the topic of death and dying.

Germany's most popular grim reaper comments on and discusses current topics, shows current cemetery photos and invites very special people to talk to him. Because the condition for every talk guest on this night is: he or she must make a living from death. And so cemetery workers, crime scene cleaners, forensic biologists and cadaver dissectors cavort on the sofa of death at night and present their profession.

Previous participants include: Criminal biologist Dr. Mark Benecke, crematorium employee Juliane Uhl, mortician and cult author Eric Wrede, cemetery guide Dr. Anja Kretschmer, Körperwelten managing director Rurik von Hagens, Sarah Benz from Sarggeschichten or crime scene cleaner Claudia Crampton.
