Deutsch-Französischer Salon

In the organizer's words:

"Parlez vous ... pommes frites?"

In April, we invite you to a salon between cultures. Political science students from the universities of Bordeaux and Stuttgart will present their short film with the comical title "Parlez vous ... pommes frites?" on the subject of prejudices. Do Germans tend to be serious, disciplined and punctual? And are the French humorous and unreliable?

Orphée Daillet and Pauline Strempel spent eight semesters commuting between Germany and France and were annoyed and bored to be constantly confronted with such clichés. Do the others actually know us? And how do we gain a real insight into the culture of others? These questions gave rise to their short film.

A project by the Franco-German Social Sciences course at the University of Stuttgart and Sciences Po Bordeaux: 12 interviews with people who grew up and lived between Germany and France.
