DIE 5. JAHRESZEIT – Camp 2 Erste Berliner Karnevalshochburg

Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz (start of the bus tour)

The 5th season continues! After a successful overture in the summer of this year, Novoflot is starting its first carnival season on 11.11. This will take the form of a rally at 11:11 a.m. with a live broadcast to eleven different public locations in Berlin, each with eleven minutes of musical theater and the new eleven-tone fanfare playing eleven times!

A few days later, the next part of the project will begin on the forecourt of the Volksbühne on Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz. The Novoflot shuttle bus will stop here and take the audience directly to the opening of Berlin's first carnival stronghold! The idea of carnival will be rethought at this (as yet undisclosed) location. The question of all questions will be asked: What is truth? In times of permanent disinformation and incessant flooding by 8 billion expressions of opinion per day, Novoflot's 5th JAHRESZEIT will become an artistic mouthpiece. The aim here is to achieve what is currently not possible anywhere else: a return to the future of an idea of truth that societies can agree on in order to finally be political again. And artistic. And exuberant. And in solidarity. And more musical than ever before.
