Die Bonnards – malen und lieben (mit Salongespräch)

When the famous painter Pierre Bonnard meets the self-proclaimed noblewoman Marthe de Méligny, he does not yet know that this woman will be the center of his future work. In over 140 paintings and 700 drawings, she becomes the muse of his life, dressed or nude. But this muse also wants to feel validated as an artist and her life holds many secrets that offer Pierre a rollercoaster of emotions. And raises the question of who is actually whose inspiration here?

In cooperation with the Flying Salon, films showing life and work in and from the art world will be shown on 5 dates at the Babylon 2026 cinema. Salon host Kimberly Hardt invites you to a discussion afterwards. Together we want to take a philosophical journey through the bohemian world - what does the art world teach us about life? Based on the film "The Bonnards", the discussion will focus on the topics of relationships and inspiration in art.

Participation: No previous knowledge is required. The salon is all about open conversation. Every word should be received with curiosity for exchange. We practise the art of conversation!
