Nobody knows why the so-called Salt Witch of the Salton Sea in California suddenly disappeared many years ago. Did the woman who was up to mischief with voodoo and ghost salt drown in the lake? Now letters from the witch appear and strange hauntings call the three ??? to the scene. Together with their old friend Professor Barrister, the detectives try to unravel the mystery of the salt dead.
