Connie Palmen's novel tells of the self-exploration of a girl who, through her school friend, learns to follow her own head and free herself from the false ideas handed down by her parents and society.

"The Friendship" describes the unusual relationship between two dissimilar women who love, hurt and question each other for a lifetime - a text about opposites, their attraction and the mysterious connection between body and mind.

Dania Hohmann's adaptation is not limited to the protagonist, but also brings secondary characters such as the mother and Kit's lover to the stage. The cast is complemented by dancers who create associative images to accompany the text. Josephin Busch became known as the "girl from East Berlin" in the Lindenberg musical "Hinterm Horizont", in 2012 she made her film debut in Christian Schwochow's "Der Turm" and from 2015 to 2024 she played Inspector Lucy Elbe in the series "Letzte Spur Berlin".
